The DUT12 was the first of our cars to feature a four wheel drive system, with each wheel being powered by its own motor. The extra regenerative braking that this system offered saved a lot of weight as it meant we could use a smaller accumulator. The total weight lost (30 kg's) meant this car's acceleration was unmatched. With a 0-100 km/h time of 2.15 seconds we held the world record for fastest accelerating electric car at the time!
