The 2004 Formula Student rules allowed for a truly unique car design by not including a mandatory side impact structure. This means that we were able to create a very thin and again lightweight car, known affectionately as the "Flintstone Car". The DUT04 proved very succesfull at Formula Student UK, running in the top three until a problem during the endurance event saw the team drop back to an overall tenth place.
